I explored and photographed all the angels and gargoyles, but I kept coming back to this place with the carefully sculpted wheel over the garage – a ceremonial flourish where none is required. Italian Yellows — Some colors seem to hold time it Italian Yellows — Some colors seem to hold time itself. These ochres and golds soak in the day, releasing warmth long after the light has moved on. I find myself tracing their edges, finding rhythm in the details: plaster and shadow, curve and crack, light and silence.
