I explored and photographed all the angels and gargoyles, but I kept coming back to this place with the carefully sculpted wheel over the garage – a ceremonial flourish where none is required. I find myself tracing their edges, finding rhythm in the details: plaster and shadow, curve and crack, light and silence.
